2 bodies recovered from N’ganj Shitalakkhya River

Two bodies were recovered from the Shitalakkhya River in Narayanganj by the river police. Among the two, one has been identified, while the other remains unidentified.
The identified body belongs to a young man named Saiful Islam (28), a resident of Fatullah. Saiful had been missing for the last three days.
Inspector Md. Abdul Mabud, in charge of the Kanchpur River Police Outpost, confirmed the information on Friday (January 17). Earlier, on Thursday night, the two bodies were retrieved from two locations: the Silo Ghat under Ward No. 5 of Siddhirganj and the opposite Kutubpur Ghat.
Inspector Abdul Mabud stated that no injury marks were found on either body during the preliminary examination. It is suspected that the bodies had been in the river for four to five days. The unidentified body belongs to an elderly man, and efforts are ongoing to confirm his identity.
