A meeting was held on Saturday morning at the RCCI Auditorium of the Rangpur Chamber Building on the occasion of the ‘Made in Bangladesh Exhibition 2025’ to be held in Sao Paulo, Brazil from June 15 to 18.
Leonardo de Oliveira Januzzi, Deputy Head of Mission of the Brazilian Embassy in Dhaka, was present as the chief guest at the meeting presided over by Md. Akbar Ali, President of the Rangpur Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
In addition, Imran Chowdhury, Director of the Brazil-Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce and Industry, was present as the special guest at the event.
At the beginning of the meeting, Rangpur Chamber President Md. Akbar Ali sought the intervention of the Brazilian Embassy to increase bilateral trade between Bangladesh and Brazil, identify potential sectors, remove trade barriers, explore easier ways for smooth trade transactions, and increase mutual cooperation. He also said that the first-ever four-day ‘Made in Bangladesh Exhibition-2025’ has been organized in Sao Paulo, Brazil at the initiative of the Brazil-Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce and Industry, it will promote Bangladesh’s exportable products, diversify the market, strengthen bilateral trade, and facilitate trade networking in Latin America, especially in Brazil.
Therefore, he called on the industrialists-businessmen and importers-exporters of Rangpur to participate in this expo.
In his speech as the chief guest, Deputy Head of Mission of the Brazilian Embassy in Dhaka, Leonardo de Oliveira Januzzi, said that there is a huge opportunity to export pharmaceutical products, healthcare, jute and jute products, ready-made garments, handy crafts, food and agricultural products from Bangladesh.
And there is a huge opportunity to import daily commodities including animal meat, ethanol, unrefined sugar, beef, cotton, capital equipment, chemicals and vegetable oil from Brazil. Therefore, he called on the businessmen of Rangpur division to participate in the expo to tap the trade potential of the two countries.
Officers and directors of the Rangpur Chamber of Commerce and Industry, industrialists and businessmen, importers and exporters, and journalists from print and electronic media were present at the exchange of views programme.
