Newly appointed Police Superintendent Md. Abu Saim exchanged views with journalists, emphasizing the importance of building a drug- and corruption-free Rangpur district.
The exchange of views was held at the Police Superintendent’s office auditorium on Thursday afternoon. He pledged to establish a people’s police.
Additional Police Superintendent Md. Tariqul Islam, senior journalists Liaquat Ali Badal, JoynalAbedin, Rangpur Press Club General Secretary Marina Lovely and journalists from the district’s electronic and print media were present at the meeting. The journalists raised various problems in Rangpur district, including drug trafficking and corruption.
