Two found dead from Purbachal lake

Two teenagers body named Sujana Akhtar (17), Sainur Rashid alias Kabbo (16) were recovered from a lake in Sector 2 of Purbachal in Rupganj, Narayanganj.
The deceased Sainur was the son of Harunur Rashid of Kachukhet Boubazar area of Kafrul police station. He was a class 10 student of Adamjee Cantonment School and College in the capital. Sujana and Sainur were friends.
According to police, Suzana and Kabbo were friends and living in the same area in capital, said police.
Mehedi Islam, assistant superintendent of district police in Narayanganj, said Kabbo’s motorcycle was also recovered from the lake. Earlier on Tuesday, a helmet and a purse were recovered from the scene, when Suzana’s body was found.
“Initially, police are assuming that Suzana and Kabbo probably died in a road accident due to overspeeding while riding the motor-cycle. However, police are working to find out whether there is any other reason for their deaths.
Earlier, Kabbo went out from his home in the evening of December 16 with his motorcycle and did not return home. He spoke to his mother on the phone around 9:00pm for the last time.
His mobile phone was found switched off when his family members tried to reach him later.
A missing diary was lodged with Kafrul Police Station in this regard early on Tuesday, said his mother Sonia Rashid.
According to the family members of Suzana, she was actively visible during the anti-discrimination student movement. She was a very energetic girl. Suzana was good at cycling since childhood, they said.
She went out from her home in the evening for tuition on December 16. When her mother Champa Begum called her around 9:00pm, she found that her phone was switched off.
