The historic Rajshahi Press Club (RPC) has restructured its executive committee. Nazrul Islam Zulu, a special correspondent of the daily Jababdihi, has been elected as President, while Mohibbul Arefin, a staff reporter of The New Nation, has been elected as General Secretary.

The new 15-member committee, elected for a three-year term during a general meeting on the night of December 16, includes Dr. Sadikul Islam Swapan (Daily Kaler Kantho) as Senior Vice President, Anusaleh Md. Fawat (Channel i) as Vice President, and Daliya Hossain Shampa (Dhaka Mail) as Joint Secretary. Omar Faruq (Daily Notun Probhat) serves as Sports and Finance Secretary, Amanullah Aman as Office Secretary, and Ashiqur Rahman (Daily Alo) as Training Secretary.

Other members of the executive committee include Sujauddin Choton (ATN Bangla), Afzal Hossain (Daily Amader Rajshahi), Anisuzzaman (Daily Ittefaq), Sohel Mahbub (Daily Notun Probhat), Amzad Hossain Shimul (Daily Kalbela), Zahid Hasan (Padma Times), and Md. Nazmul Islam Jim (Soinik Bartaman Kotha).

It is worth mentioning that the Rajshahi Press Club was established in 1954, shortly after the founding of the National Press Club in Dhaka in 1953.
