BNP leader expelled for assaulting journo in N’ganj

The BNP has temporarily expelled Iqbal Hossain, General Secretary of Siddhirganj Thana BNP and former councilor of Ward No. 2 of Narayanganj City Corporation (NCC), from the party. This was confirmed in a press release on Friday night by BNP’s Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi. According to the statement, Iqbal Hossain has been removed from all his positions, including primary membership, for assaulting and harassing journalist Minhaj Aman.
The letter addressed to Iqbal Hossain stated that he physically attacked and harassed journalist Minhaj Aman in public, which constitutes a gross violation of party discipline and is considered a heinous act. As a result, he has been temporarily expelled from all levels of the party.
