NBR raids at resort of ex-DB chief Harun’s relatives

The National Board of Revenue’s (NBRs) Central Intelligence Cell (CIC) has conducted a raid at President Resort owned by former Chief of Detective Branch (DB) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Md. Harun -ur -Rashid, located in Kishoreganj ‘s Mitamoin haor on Monday.
A team from the National Board of Revenue (NBR) from Dhaka conducted a three -hour raid on ex- DB Harun’s luxurious resort on Monday afternoon. They searched various rooms and the surrounding area. Senior officials of NBR, Police, Army , and agencies members participated in the operation led by NBR Director Chand Sultana Chowdhurani. In a operation that four computer hard disks and several documents were seized from the resort. In this context, Board of Revenue Director Chand Sultana Chowdhurani, who led the operation, said that the operation is being conducted as part of the National Board of Revenue’s investigation into allegations of government revenue evasion, and details will be known after the investigation report is submitted.
