Introductory meeting of the nat’l citizens’ committee held in N’ganj

Staff Correspondent :

An “Introduction Meeting” of the National Citizens’ Committee for the Narayanganj Sadar Thana was held on Saturday night at the District Council Guesthouse auditorium in Chashara, Narayanganj city.
Representatives of the newly formed Sadar Thana Committee were present at the meeting. The session was moderated by Sadar Thana Committee member Sabit Al Hasan, with Advocate Abdullah Al Amin, a central member of the National Citizens’ Committee, serving as the chief guest.
Other speakers at the meeting included Sadar Thana Committee members Ahmedur Rahman Tonu, Shawkat Ali, and poet Arif Bulbul.
Addressing the newly formed committee members, Advocate Abdullah Al Amin said, “The dream of building the Bangladesh for which we fought and achieved the downfall of Hasina on August 5 has not been fully realized. Today, we see the resurgence of extortion, terrorism, and syndicates, which disheartens us. However, we will not allow anyone to snatch away our victory. The student uprising was not merely against a single party but against this decayed system. Therefore, we will organize ourselves to reform this system. Our goal is to ensure that no political party, regardless of its victory through people’s votes, can revert to the old ways of corrupt politics.”
During the meeting, representatives of the newly formed committee discussed various irregularities in Narayanganj and shared recommendations and action plans to address them.
