Journalists must present true,objective and constructive news

Newly appointed Rajshahi Divisional Commissioner Khondaker Azim Ahmed said, “Journalism is a noble profession. Journalists are the conscience of the nation. Journalists must present informative, true, objective and constructive news, so that it brings welfare to the country and the nation. Many complaints and problems of the suffering people remain unnoticed by the administration, if they are highlighted in the newspapers, the concerned administration can quickly take necessary steps to resolve them. He expressed satisfaction that there was no killing, looting and widespread deterioration of the law and order situation during the anti-discrimination student movement in Baraigram Upazila in July-August.” He made these remarks during a courtesy call on representatives of the Baraigram Smart Press Club on Saturday afternoon when he came to the Bonpara Municipality area of Baraigram Upazila in Natore for a short visit. During the meeting, the representatives of the Press Club greeted the newly appointed Rajshahi Divisional Commissioner Khondaker Azim Ahmed with flower-wreath.
Among others, Baraigram Upazila Nirbahi Officer Laila Jannatul Ferdous, Assistant Commissioner (Land) Md. Ashraful Islam, Baraigram Smart Press Club President Alhaj Saifur Rahman, Vice-President Alhaj Ashraful Islam, Secretary Alamgir Kabiraj, Assistant Professor of the Geography Department of Bonpara Degree College Nazmul Islam, retired doctor Abdul Hakim, Secretary of the Baitul Falah Jame Mosque Committee Alhaj Shahid Ullah Gazi, Accountant Ataur Rahman Khan were present there.
Additional Secretary of the Information and Communication Technology Division, Khondaker Azim Ahmed was appointed as the Divisional Commissioner in Rajshahi through a notification signed by Aminul Islam, Deputy Secretary of the Field Administration-2 Branch of the Ministry of Public Administration. Khondaker Azim Ahmed joined at the new post in Rajshahi on Monday (December 2).
