One arrested with arms in Morrelganj

A contingent of joint forces of police and army conducted a raid in the village Borsibawa within Ramchandrapur Union Parishad under Morrelganj Upazila in Bagerhat district and arrested one Suman Shaikh (35) from there along with a foreign made pistol, 2 home-made big sized knives locally known as Ramdas, one Chinese axe and 2 iron pipes on Thursday.
He is the son of one Mosharaf Shaikh of the village. Md. Rakibul Hasan, Officer-in-charge of Morrelganj PS told, Commander of the local army camp led the raid and added at the night while the joint forces were discharging their patrol duty in the localities got a secret information, raided the village and arrested Shuman Shaikh and recovered the arms from his dwelling house. In this connection a case was lodged with the PS and the arrestee was sent to the court at Bagerhat district headquarters.
