A two-day training program on “The Art of Teaching and Creative Pedagogy for Higher Education” was held at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Agricultural University (BSMRAU) on Wednesday.
The training, aimed at modernizing and making higher education more relevant, was attended by 101 faculty members, including Lecturers, Assistant Professors and Associate Professors. The event organized by the university’s Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), began on December 4, 2024, in the university’s Central Laboratory’s virtual room.
The training was inaugurated by the Vice-Chancellor of BSMRAU Professor Dr. GKM Mustafizur Rahman, who graced the event as the chief guest. Professor Dr. M. Moynul Haque, Pro-Vice Chancellor, and Professor Dr. Md. Safiul Islam Afrad, Treasurer were present as special guests.
The event was conducted by Professor Dr. Mohammad Sharif Raihan, Additional Director of IQAC with Professor Dr. Nasrin Akter Ivy, Director of IQAC, chaired the session.
The resource speaker for the training was Professor Dr. Masuma Habib from Bangladesh Agricultural University (BAU).
In his address, the vice-chancellor emphasized the importance of effective teaching methods and stated that this training would provide participants with valuable insights into enhancing their teaching skills. The vice-chancellor highlighted the significance of adopting strategic approaches to improve the quality of instruction and engage students more effectively.
