Policeman killed in Gafargaon road crash

A policeman named Fahim Ahmed Zidan (22) was killed and three others were injured in an accident when a CNG-run auto-rickshaw overturned on the Gafargaon-Bhaluka road in Mymensingh on Tuesday.

Locals said the deceased policeman’s home is in the village of Maheshkura (adjacent to Kanchari) of the neighboring Nandail upazila. Freedom fighter Md. Ruhul Amin is the father of Fahim.
The incident took place at 11:30pm in Kirshtapur area as the driver lost control over the steering. The police said that Fahim Ahmed Zidan was working at Bhatara Police Station of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP).

He was killed on his way to home from Bhaluka via Gafargaon.
The police arrested the driver from the spot. One Gafargaon Upazila Health Complex on-duty doctor said the policeman died before being brought to the hospital. Gafargaon Police Station OC Mohammad Shibirul Islam said a case has been registered in this regard.
