47th BCS circular released

The Bangladesh Public Service Commission (PSC) has officially published the notification for the 47th Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) exam, offering a total of 3,688 positions in various cadres and non-cadre roles.

The announcement was made on Thursday afternoon on the PSC’s official website.
The notification states that there are a total of 3,487 vacant cadre positions, and 201 non-cadre positions. A total of 3,688 people will be recruited through this BCS.

Some new positions have been added to this BCS. Interested candidates must fill out the online application form on the PSC website or its designated portal.

Online applications will begin on December 10 at 10:00 AM and end on December 31 at 11:59 PM.

No applications will be accepted before or after the specified time and date. For eligibility, candidates must be between 21 and 32 years old as of November 1, 2024.

Applications from candidates who are younger or older than the specified age range will not be accepted.

This is for the first time the applicants are getting the opportunity to apply for BCS till the age limit to 32 as the interim government of Bangladesh has set the limit following the huge protests of the students and applicants.

Details of the positions for 47th BCS: Out of the 3,487 cadre positions, 200 will be recruited in the Administration cadre, 100 in the Police cadre, 168 in the Agriculture cadre, and 1,361 in the Health cadre (1,331 Assistant Surgeons and 30 Assistant Dental Surgeons).

There are 1,883 technical or professional cadre positions, including 929 for lecturers in general colleges under BCS General Education, nine for lecturers in government teacher training colleges, 27 for lecturers in Madrasah-e-Aliya, and 12 for instructors in polytechnic institutes and technical teachers’ training colleges.

In the non-cadre category, there are 41 positions in the 9th grade, 154 in the 10th grade, and 6 in the 12th grade.

The PSC is encouraging all eligible and interested candidates to apply within the stipulated time frame.
