Chattogram District Lawyers Association (CDLA) declared court boycott for second day on Thursday following the murder of the member of Bangladesh Supreme Court Lawyers Association and Chattogram District Lawyers Association Advocate Saiful Islam Alif.
A doa mahfil for salvation of the departed soul will be held today after Zohr prayer at court hill Jame mosque. CDLA sources said the association’s flag will remain half mast, wearing black badge, all court activities to remain closed, and doa mahfil arranged for salivation of departed soul today. it is further revealed that a mourning procession was brought out from Doel lawyers Bhaban on Thursday.On the other hand, annual get together of the annual indoor games of the association was remained closed on Thursday in this connection.
Renowned Advocate Saiful was brutally killed by the followers of ISKON on Tuesday during his professional duties. Adv Saiful hails from Chunati union of Lohagara upazila of Chattogram district and son of Jamaluddin .It is alleged that the Chinmoy’s followers killed him by chopping near Rangam cinema area of the city in front of court hill, sources said.
