Muktagachha launches 3-day fisheries prog
MYMENSINGH: Member of Parliament for Mymensingh-5 (Muktagachha) constituency Mohammad Zakir Hossain releases fish fry into the upazila parishad pond in Muktagachha area on Sunday, marking the inception of National Fisheries Fortnight 2026.
National Fisheries Fortnight 2026 began in Muktagachha, Mymensingh, on Sunday with a colourful rally, fish fry release and discussion meeting.
The three-day programme is being implemented under the joint initiative of the Muktagachha Upazila Administration and the Department of Fisheries, Mymensingh.
Various programmes are being organised in Muktagachha to mark National Fisheries Fortnight 2026 under the theme, “A Self-Reliant Nation Through Silver Fish, Bangladesh First.”
The three-day programme is being jointly organised by the Upazila Administration and the Department of Fisheries from August 16 to 18.
