BD reaffirms support for Palestine

Bangladesh’s has reaffirmed its steadfast support for Palestine as the Chief Adviser Professor Dr. Muhammad Yunus on Tuesday expressed solidarity with the Palestinian people.

On the occasion of the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People, introduced by the UN Committee on the Exercise of the unchallengeable Rights of the Palestinian People, Dr. Yunus reiterates Bangladesh commitment to the people of Palestine while observing the day.

Professor Dr. Yunus, in his message called for an independent, sovereign Palestinian state based on the pre-1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital.

The CA highlighted the urgent need for an immediate and comprehensive ceasefire to protect innocent lives in Gaza, particularly women and children.

Dr.Yunus called for accountability for atrocities against Palestinians, as underscored by the ICJ’s advisory opinion declaring Israel’s occupation unlawful.

Historically, Bangladesh continues to stand in solidarity with the Palestinian people, supporting the rightful struggle for justice, freedom, and dignity of the Palestinians.
