Former data centre director sent to jail

A court here on Thursday sent Tareque M Barkatullah, former director of the Data Center, to jail in a case lodged for allegedly selling citizens’ National ID (NID) information.
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Mehedi Hasan passed the order as police produced the accused before the court and pleaded to keep him behind the bars till the end of probe.
