Iran must sign nuclear deal and expose Israeli conspiracy

A LETTER of 47 US Senators to Iranian leaders asking them to shun a nuclear deal with Obama administration has come as a big surprise to Tehran while sending a mixed reaction at the same time about commitment of the US Congress to promoting global peace. The letter published on Monday last in Washington in fact made a direct appeal this time to Tehran to stop a nuclear deal in Vienna as they appear failing to stop the Obama administration from negotiating the deal. They have taken to give the impression to Tehran that such deal will not last long and better they keep away from a visible 22-month deal.
The letter said unless the US Congress ratifies international treaties, they have no future effectiveness. The US President serves four-year term while Senators stay for six years. The letter was suggestive that the Republican dominated Congress will not ratify the deal, so it will have no future, nothing more than an ‘executive agreement’ after the next president takes office in January 2017 when the Congress may also denounce it. It also risks to be revoked by the next president with the stroke of a pen.
Iranian Foreign Minister Javad Zarif has downgraded the letter ‘as a propaganda ploy’ and said his country is honestly negotiating to end the row and will remain strict to it so long it will protect his country’s interest. He wondered if the threat is taken seriously, what may be the fate of thousands such executive agreements signed or will be signed by the US administration with other governments.
In fact we see that the US Senators letter surfaced after Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu spoke to a joint session of US Congress later last month. The Republicans now hostile to the White House on Iran nuclear deal issue invited the Israeli Prime Minister ignoring President Barack Obama and directly insulting his administration. The invitation was extended at a time when negotiations with Iran have entered a crucial phase that may end up removing sanction on Iran. The Israeli Prime Minister is critically opposing such deal while asking the US to bomb Iranian nuclear installations to raise them to ground.
Netanyahu’s speech was openly degrading to Obama administration and the quality of its US intelligence outputs in his efforts to establish Israeli intelligence claim that Iran is closer to making bombs. The Israeli leader was using the occasion to exploit the Iran nuclear issue before March election in his country while the Republicans are eyeing on massive Jewish support in November 2016 presidential election.
But US Vice President Joe Biden has totally ruled out the Senators letter’s value saying most international treaties of the US government is “executive agreements” from the past decades and the US administration has signed them and will protect them as part of its international obligation. He said US diplomatic recognition to China was a product of executive agreement, the Vietnam War and Iran hostage crisis also ended under executive agreements.
It is clear that the Israeli lobby in the USA is failing to stop a nuclear deal with Iran, so they have taken, directly with the help of Republican Senators, to discourage the Iranians, apart from bringing pressure domestically on Obama administration to abandon the negotiation. Iranian leaders must not fail to see Israeli lobby’s desperate attempt to keep the USA and Iran fighting instead of joining hands to bring peace and cooperation between the two countries in addition to working with other Security Council members and Germany for the greater good of the region. Good relationship with Iran will also be helpful for America to contain the Muslim terrorists. We urge the Iranians to ignore the pressure and negotiate the deal. This is the best opportunity to expose Israel as a bad influence on America.
