BCL not linked to female student attack: Enan

General Secretary of the Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) Sheikh Wali Asif Enan, has asserted that disguised individuals have attacked female students and falsely accusing the BCL of these actions. He condemned and protested these “despicable attempts.”

Enan made these remarks on Monday in response to a journalist’s question in front of the Dhaka University Vice Chancellor’s residence.

“We have taken to the streets to protect Dhaka University and uphold the spirit of the Liberation War,” Enan stated. He accused terrorists of attacking at least 100 university students. People from various areas have come forward to protest against the attacks on ordinary students. He affirmed that they are standing against these terrorists.

“We have always said we want a logical reform of the quota system. We hope that a reasonable reform will be achieved,” Enan added.
