One senior official of Bangladesh Railway, East zone office in Chittagong discharging responsibilities of three important portfolios. Juveda Akhter discharging duties as Deputy director (Public Relations) since long in Rly east zone office and beside her original assignment, she also discharging the responsibilities of Senior Welfare officer and Asstt. General Manager as additional charges.
After completing her Masters degree in English from Chittagong University, she joined Railway service after passing 37th BCS exam in 2008 as cadre officer in commercial and traffic department. She was married with Prof. Humayun Kabir of Govt city college in 2004.
Beside his family household responsibilities as housewife, Juveda continued her study and successfully came out from education life and appeared in 37th BCS exam in 2005. While asked about the aims of her joining in service, she told that she never desires to join in service but following the family need of her husband to run the large family of her husband including parents, brothers and sisters, she compelled to join the service. A reliable railway sources said, Juveda Akhter had good reputation in Bangladesh railway as a responsible and honest official and she discharging the responsibilities of three posts simultaneously in East Zone in Chittagong.
