Khaleda trying to wage civil war: Muhith

Finance Minister Abul Maal Abdul Muhith yesterday said BNP chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia is attempting to wage a civil war in the country by giving incitement and because of this incitement the incidents of murders in the capital have gone up.
“Murders are taking place in the country one after another following the order of BNP chief Begum Khaleda Zia. She (Khaleda)
should now stop these acts. Government has taken strong steps to offset these disorders and terrorist activities. If needed, it would act in a tougher way in future,” he said.
The minister came up with the observations while talking to the newsmen after attending the district conference of Rotary International at Jalalabad Gas Auditorium in Sylhet town.
Replying to a question, Muhith said programs like shutdown and blockade are impeding the economical development of the country and that is why these should be stopped soon.
Presided over by Engineer MA Latif, governor of Rotary District-3282, the conference was addressed by former Rotary governor from India Nirmal Kumar Sinvi, his wife Rotarian Dina Sinvi, former governor of Ratary club Dr Manjurul Haque Chowdhury, among others.
