BNP detached from masses, says Mazibul

Railways Minister Mazibul Hoque on Friday said BNP now is a party detached from the masses and its so-called movement has failed miserably.
“BNP has gone far away from the people by carrying out clandestine attacks and burning people to death. The day is not that far, when this party will face crisis for its existence. The country is moving ahead and BNP chief Khaleda Zia is not able to stand this. That is why she has embarked on the killing spree,” the minister said.
Mazibul came up with the observations while addressing a views exchange meeting organized by Bangladesh Railway and Ministry of Railways at Chinki Astana Railway Station in Mirsharai, Chittagong, an official release said.
“BNP’s ally Jamaat is a recognized militant organization. They have realized that they will not be able to yield any fruits from religion business in this country and that is why they are killing people,” he added.
Presided over by additional secretary of railways ministry Kamal Krishna Bhattacharya, the meeting was addressed by assistant director general (operation) of railway Habibur Rahman, Mirsharai upazila nirbahi officer Muhammad Ashraf Hossain, acting chairman of Mirsharai upazila Yasmin Sharmin Kakoli, local Awami League leader Sheikh Ataur Rahman, among others.
