HAAB president leaves for KSA to attend Umrah confce

President of the Hajj Agencies Association of Bangladesh (HAAB), M. Shahadat Hossain Taslim, is going to attend the International Umrah Conference as a state guest at the invitation of the Saudi Government.

Deputy Minister for International Cooperation of the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah of the Saudi Government, Dr. Al Hasan Bin Yahya Al Munakhera, invited him.

Shahadat Hossain Taslim will leave Dhaka for Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KDA) Jeddah on Sunday to attend the conference.

According to a press release issued by the HAAB, the International Umrah Conference is going to be held in the holy city of Madinah from April 22 to April 24 under the patronage of Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman.

It is the first international conference organised by the Saudi government on Umrah management for the Umrah pilgrims.

The HAAB President was invited to this conference by the Saudi government as a special guest and resource person.

Earlier on March 25, the invitation letter of the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah was handed over by the Saudi Embassy through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bangladesh.

During the visit, the HAAB President is scheduled to meet with the Minister of Saudi Hajj and Umrah Ministry, Dr. Tawfiq Bin Fawzan Al Rabiyah.

Apart from it, he will meet with the Deputy Minister of International Cooperation of the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah of the Saudi government, Dr. Al Hasan bin Yahya Al Munakhera, Deputy Minister Dr. Abdul Aziz Wazzam, and other high-ranking government officials.

During his visit, the HAAB President is expected to discuss various issues related to Hajj and Umrah management, including improving the quality of services for Hajj and Umrah passengers.

In particular, the HAAB president will present his speech on behalf of the Bangladesh government with the aim of streamlining the Umrah visa issue process, ground service, and Umrah management for Bangladeshi Umrah pilgrims.

It is also expected that an agreement-signing ceremony will be held between the private Umrah agencies of the two countries.

About a hundred Hajj and Umrah agencies will attend the conference under the leadership of the HAAB President.
