Offices resume after Eid in Rajshahi

As all the government, semi-government and private offices including banks and financial institutions resumed on Monday after a five-day Eid vacation, officials were seen to attend offices in a festive mood
On the first day of office, low attendance of staff was found as many people were on leave aligning their holiday with the Eid vacation.
People got a five-day Eid-ul-Fitr vacation including two-day weekend and PahelaBaishakh holiday this year.
Attendance at the city bhaban, the offices of divisional commissioner and deputy commissioner, rail bhaban, water development board, sericulture building, RAKUB headquarters, RDA bhaban, barendrabhaban, RMP headquarters and Roads and Highway building was relatively thin as more than half of the officers and employees are on vacation.
Officials said actually the offices and courts will get life either within the next couple of days or on Sunday after the next two-day weekend.
However, some people were seen rushing to their respective offices to dispose off their pending urgent works on the opening day today.
