Muggers shoot Nagad agents, snatch away Tk60 lakh

Amid the attacks on three branches of the Krishi Bank and Sonali Bank in Ruma and Thanchi Upazilas of Bandarban, muggers snatched away Tk 60 lakh from two Nagad agents after shooting them in Raipura upazila of Narsingdi on Thursday morning (April 4).

The bullet-hit injured are known as Delwar Hossain, 50, son of Rashid Pathan, Shahin Mia, 25, son of late Amir Chan.

Shahid Mia, Distributor of Nagad branch at Narsingdi said that the two people were going to Raipura branch from
Narsingdi branch this morning. Meanwhile, muggers stopped their motorcycle in Hasnabadh bazar area around 9:30am and snatched the money shooting them.

Later, locals sent the two officials of Nagad to Narsingdi Sadar Hospital.

Raipura police station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Safayet Hossain Palash said details will be disclosed after investigation.
