Field demonstration on BARI Mungbean Dehuller

The Farm Machinery and Postharvest Process Engineering Division (FMPE) of Bangladesh Agricultural Research Institute (BARI) arranged a Field Demonstration on BARI Mungbean Dehuller at the FMPE Division on Thursday. The Program was collaboration with Cereal System Initiative for South Asia-Mechanization and Extension Activity (CSISA-MEA), CIMMYT, Bangladesh.
The Director General of BARI Dr. Debasish Sarker was present as chief guest at the field demonstration program organized to highlight the various benefits of this newly developed machine to farmers, machine manufacturers, scientists, extension workers and general public. At this time, Director (Planning and Evaluation) Dr. Md. Abu Hena Sorwar Jahan and Former Director (Training and Communication) Dr. Dr. Md. Ayub Hossain were present as special guests in this program. Director (Support & Services) Dr. Ferdouse Islam presided over the occasion. Chief Scientific Officer (FMPE Division) Dr. Md. Nurul Amin gave the welcome address in this program. The program was conducted by Senior Scientific officer (FMPE) BARI and the Principal Investigator of the CSISA-MEA project Dr. Muhammad Arshadul Haque.
The chief guest said in his speech that this device invented by BARI needs extensive publicity to spread this device at the marginal level. Adequate measures of training shall be undertaken for the manufacturer to ensure quality production.
