Staff Reporter :
United Nations Youth and Students Association of Bangladesh (UNYSAB) arranged a heartwarming initiative titled “Eid For Street Children 2024” in Dhaka, held at the LEEDO Peace Home, aimed to bring joy and essential support to orphaned and special needs street children.

It was a testament to UNYSAB’s commitment to uplifting marginalized communities and spreading happiness during special occasions like Ramadan.

A team from UNYSAB embarked on their mission with excitement and anticipation on 29th March 2024.

Upon reaching the LEEDO Peace Home, they were met with warm smiles and eager faces from the children, ready to partake in the day’s festivities.

The atmosphere was warm, positive, and enthusiastic, setting the stage for a memorable event.

One of the primary objectives of the initiative was to provide essential clothing and Iftar meals to the children.

UNYSAB members meticulously tailored clothing items to meet each child’s specific needs.

A sense of camaraderie and compassion accompanied the distribution of these items as UNYSAB volunteers interacted with the children, fostering connections and spreading joy.

In addition to the practical support, the event featured interactive games and activities designed to engage and entertain the children.

Laughter echoed throughout the venue as the children participated in various games, forming bonds with each other and the UNYSAB team.

These moments of joy and camaraderie were priceless, creating lasting memories for the children and volunteers.

One event highlight was the henna festival, which served as a creative outlet for self-expression and a meaningful cultural experience for the children.

Engaging in this traditional practice allowed the children to showcase their creativity and instilled a sense of pride and appreciation for their heritage.

It was a beautiful fusion of culture and community, symbolizing the importance of embracing diversity.
