Peninsula to build 5 star hotel in Ctg

The Peninsula Chittagong, a renowned hotel in the port city, announced to build a five star hotel named ‘Airport Garden’ near Shah Amanat International Airport in Chittagong in order to attract more tourists from home and abroad.
Mustafa Tahseen Arshad, CEO of Peninsula, disclosed the matter on the 10th founding anniversary programme of the hotel here yesterday morning at its Dalia Hall. He said, “The hotel will be named after Airport Garden and there will be 300 rooms in an environment friendly ambience.
The construction work will start at the end of this year.” Mentioning the huge losses in this sector for political turmoil from the very beginning of the year, he also alleged, “Almost 90 per cent bookings have been cancelled as the guests refused to visit Chittagong from Dhaka and other parts of the country for prevailing of political unrest across the country.”
