Shakib first Bangladeshi batsman to cross 4000-run landmark in ODI

Best all-rounder of world cricket in three formats (Test, ODI, T20I) Shakib Al Hasan is now the first Bangladeshi batsman who crossed the 4000-run landmark in One Day International (ODI) Cricket at the Manuka Oval in Canberra, Australia on Wednesday.
Shakib Al Hasan played for Bangladesh against Afghanistan in their first Group A match of the ICC World Cup Cricket 2015.
Shakib touched the 4000-run landmark when he was on 23.
Later, Shakib Al Hasan notched up a marvellous 63 from 51 balls hitting six fours and a six. Shakib’s score is now 4040 in ODI Cricket. Shakib also shone with the cherry bagging two wickets for 43 runs.
Shakib played 142 ODI matches to score above 4000 runs. He cracked six centuries and 27 half centuries.
Dashing opener Tamim Iqbal could reach the 4000-run landmark on Wednesday but he was caught behind by Afsar Zazai off Mirwais Ashraf when Tamim was on 19. Iqbal’s score is now 3990. He is just 10 runs away from 4000 runs. Tamim played 136 ODI matches. He has four hundreds and 27 fifties.
