Valentine’s Day celebrated with visually impaired persons

Sroat (The Wave), a social organization of the port city working for the disabled people, celebrated an exceptional Valentine’s Day with the visually impaired persons on Saturday.
Titled ‘Valentine for Differently Able People,’ at the port city’s Concord Amusement Park, Foy’s Lake, the programme was joined by a total of 70 sightless people who got the chance to enjoy four different rides there.
Subhasish Paul, President of the organization, said, “Love is not self-centered, it is versatile. We want to celebrate our Valentine’s Day with these disabled people who are neglected by the society as well as their family members.”
“As a human being, we have to help those people who are considered as a burden to the society,” he added. Biswajit Gosh, Executive Marketing Officer of Concord Amusement Park, said, ” we always support this type of activity and feel happy to take part in.”
Shagatom Das Gupta, Nabin, Tahira, Tanjid, Korniya, Zahin and Somun, some local aspirants, were also present as volunteers in the programme.
