Dead expat’s family seeks financial support

The family of an expatriate named Ashkar Ali who died in the plane on his way to Bangladesh from Kuwait is mourning. Two weeks after the incident, there was no trace from the aviation authorities or anyone from his workplace in Kuwait. As a result, Ashkar Ali’s family is spending days in extreme uncertainty about thinking the uncertain future of their only daughter. Ashkar Ali is the son of deceased Arab Ali of Hajipur Ghanshyam village of Fulbari union of Golapganj upazila of Sylhet district.
According to local sources, the expatriate named Ashkar Ali worked in a brick making factory in Kuwait. After a long time, he left for the country on January 19 by plane. After arriving in Dubai, the expatriate fell ill on the plane. Later the flight made an emergency landing at Kolkata Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose International Airport. From there Ashkar Ali was taken to the local R-J Kar Medical College Hospital under the management of the aviation authority. Doctors there declared him dead.
Meanwhile, leaving Ashkar Ali in the hospital, the plane left the flight and returned to Dhaka. Later, Ashkar Ali’s body was brought to Bangladesh from that hospital in Calcutta, India, on the initiative of the family.
