Historic March 7 observed in districts with various progs

The historic March 7 was observed on Thursday in a befitting manner in Gouripur upazila of Mymensingh district. Upazla administration has chalked out elaborate programmes to celebrate the historic March 7 in a proper manner
On this day in 1971, Bangabandhu, the undisputed leader of Bangalis, had delivered his epoch-making speech of independence before a mammoth rally at the then Racecourse Maidan, now Suhrawardy Udyan, in Dhaka
In 2017, United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (Unesco) recognised the historic March 7 Speech of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman as a world documentary heritage.
Nilufar Anjum Popy MP on Thursday paid rich tributes to the great leader and greatest Bengali of all time by placing wreaths at his portrait at Upazila Parishad and also at the mural of Bangabandhu of Bangabandhu Chattar in the town of Gouripur marking the historic 7th March, Upazila Chairman Mofazzal Hossain Khan, Md Shakil Ahmed ,UNO of Gouripur Upazila , Salma Akter Rubi Upazila female Vice-chaima, Suman Chandra Roy, OC of Gouripur Thana, Dr. Helal Uddin Ahmed, Upazila AL Senor President, Md Nazim Uddin, Ex- Deputy Comander of Gouripur Muktijudda Sangsad, Nandan Kumar Biswas Upazila Youth Development Officer, Nilufar Yesmin Joly, Upazila Agriculture Officer, Rehena Akter Upazila Women Affairs Officer were present, among others, on the occasion .
Madukhali (Faridpur) Correspondent adds, On Thursday, on the occasion of historic 7th March celebration, MadhukhaliUpazila administration, UpazilaAwami League and various educational institutions placed floral wreaths at the mural of Bangabandhu Sheikh MujiburRahman on behalf of social organizations. Later, upazila executive officer in the upazilaparishad auditorium. A discussion meeting was held under the chairmanship of Mamnoon Ahmed Aneek.
Sarishabari Jamalpur correspondent adds, The newly elected Member of Parliament principal Abdur Rashid paid tribute to Bangabandhu’s portrait at sarishabari Upazila ground on Thursday morning. Later, a discussion meeting was organized by Upazila administration at the Upazila parishad auditorium at 11 am. UNO Sharmin Akter presided over the event. Principal Abdur Rashid MP was present as the chief guest on the discussion meeting.
Upazila chairman Gius Uddin Pathan was present as the chief guest.Besides that, Upazila AL president, joint secretary, Upazila mvice chairman, Mayor, teachers and students, journalists and others were present on the occasion.
