Bangladesh U-16 Women’s Football team in final of SAFF Champ

Bangladesh Under-16 Women’s Football team stormed into the final of the South Asian Football Federation (SAFF) Under-16 Women’s Championship defeating India Under-16 Women’s Football team by 3-1 goals in their second match at the ANFA Complex in Kathmandu, the capital city of Nepal on Tuesday.
Bangladesh collected maximum six points from two matches. Minnows Bhutan were ousted from the title race. One team from India and Nepal will get the tickets of the final of the four-nation gala football competition for the age group women.
Bangladesh led the first half 1-0.
Alpi Akter of Bangladesh put her team ahead by scoring a goal in the ninth minute of the play (1-0).
After the lemon-break, Anushka Kumari of India equalised the margin in the 55th minute of the clash (1-1).
Injured Sauravi Akanda Prity of Bangladesh could not stay at the dug out. Sauravi Akanda Prity got injury when she was playing against Nepal.
She played for Bangladesh with her injury. Sauravi Akanda Prity broke the dead-lock by scoring a goal in the 79th minute of the encounter (2-1).
Arpita Biswas of Bangladesh sealed the fate of the match just at the dying moment (3-1).
Bangladesh will take on Bhutan in their last league match on Friday. But the result of the match will not act any result for both teams as Bangladesh confirmed their final berth, while Bhutan were out of the title race.
