New Nation Rangpur journo gets Mother Teresa Award

Journalist Md. Abdur Rahman Mintu has received the Mother Teresa Award.

In Kaliganj upazila of Lalmonirhat district, a discussion meeting on increasing digital Bangladesh cyber awareness and certificate and award ceremony of computer training course was held last Friday in Madati Union Parishad Auditorium organised by Profit Foundation in collaboration with Information and Communication Technology Department.

Additional Divisional Commissioner of Rangpur Division (Joint Secretary) Md. Abu Jafar was the chief guest, under the chairmanship of Kaliganj Upazila Nibarhi Officer Zahir Imam, who emphasized the importance of the convention and awarding ceremony and spoke among others.

Acting Deputy Commissioner of Lalmonirhat TM A Momin, district Senior Assistant Superintendent of Police B Circle Farhad Imrul Kayes. Md Nuruzzaman Ahmed, OC of Kaliganj Police Station, Md Mostafa Chowdhury, Assistant Programmer of Upazila ICT Department, Vice Chairman of Upazila Parishad Kamal Sarkar and others spoke in this.

At the end of the ceremony, the Senior Staff Reporter of The New Nation newspaper, Md. Abdur Rahman Mintu, gave the Mother Teresa Award to 6 distinguished people for their special contribution to development work in various categories.

Public representatives, teachers, journalists, imams of mosques, government officials, parents and trainees of computer training courses were present at the organization’s convention and award ceremony.
