BFUNPW gets new president, secretary general

Md Alamgir Hossain Khan of The Daily Ittefaq and Moshtaq Ahmed of Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha (BSS) were elected president and secretary general of Bangladesh Federal Union of Newspaper Press Workers (BFUNPW) on Saturday.

They were elected for the year 2024-2026 at its biennial meeting held at the Economic Reporters’ Forum (ERF) auditorium at Paltan Tower in Dhaka.

Other executive members of the Bangladesh Federal Union of Newspaper Press Workers (BFUNPW) are Md Maksudul Ahsan (Senior VP) from BSS, Md. Ataur Rahman (VP) from The New Nation, Tajammel Haque (VP) from The Daily Ittefaq, Liaquat Ali (VP) from Daily Dinkal, Faruk Ahmed Bhuiyan (VP) from BSS, Abul Kalam (VP) from the Ittefaq, Belal Uddin (VP) from BSS,

Md. Abdul Aziz (Joint Secretary General) from The New Nation, A. Mannan (Joint Secretary General) from The Independent, Rafiqul Islam (Joint Secretary General) from Ittefaq, Zahidur Rahman (Organizing Secretary) from Ittefaq, Omar Faruq (Office Secretary) from Ittefaq, Mansur Ali as Cultural Secretary, Mominul Haque as a Treasurer.
