Free health care prog held in Ishwardi

On the occasion of International Mother Language Day and Language Martyr’s Day, about 3,500 deprived people of Ishwardi received free health services and medicines like every year.

On Wednesday (February 21), Jahanara Begum and MA High Memorial Foundation organized a day-long program at Maniknagar High School grounds in Salimpur Union.

Health check-ups, diagnosis, and medicines are provided to indigent patients completely free of charge.

Dhaka Shere Bangla National Institute of Kidney Diseases and Urology Department Associate Professor and son of Jahanara Begum and Chairman of MA High Memorial Foundation Dr. Faisal Islam headed by Dr. Faisal Islam from Dhaka with 20 members of Gynaecology, Medicine, Surgery, Dentistry, Nose, Ear, Throat and Paediatricians. The team provides health services through 10 camps.

Foundation Chairman Dr. Faisal Islam inaugurated the program. General Secretary of Ishwardi Upazila Awami League and former mayor Abul Kalam Azad Mintu, owner of Khairul Group of Industry Alhaj Khairul Islam and other dignitaries were present.
