59 fake candidates caught red-handed in Naogaon

A mobile court has arrested 59 fake candidates from Sarfatullah Fazil Madrasa examination center in Sapahar, Naogaon.

Sapahar Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) and Mobile Court Executive Magistrate Masud Hossain visited the center on Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. Later, on suspicion they arrested the 59 candidates as there were no similarities between the examinees with their respective admit cards.

According to the mobile court and local sources, a total of 777 candidates from 40 institutes have applied for Sorfutullah Fazil Madrasah center in Sapahar this year.

On Tuesday, 757 candidates participated in the Arabic-2nd paper exam in 20 rooms of the centre. UNO went to visit the center suddenly in the morning.

After that, 59 candidates were arrested as their photos did not match with the admit cards. Among them, 15 are male and 44 are female.

The remaining candidates are still being scrutinized.

Sapahar Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Masud Hossain stated that the room inspectors expelled 59 students as they were found fake.

So there was no opportunity to punish them anew. On this basis everyone has been released on bail
