CID arrests 19 fraudsters in name of ‘Dorvesh Baba’

CID has arrested 19 fraudsters who looted crores of Taka in the name of solving all problems under the identity of ‘Dorvesh Baba’.
The gang used to advertise on Facebook to target people who were seeking solutions.

Most of the people who saw the advertisement and called for solutions ended up in the clutches of the so-called ‘Dorvesh Baba.

Recently, a lady doctor saw such an ads and handed over Tk. 25 lakh to fraudsters in several stages in the hope of solving family problems.

CID arrested Ashiq, the mastermind of this gang, from Magura. Based on the information given by him, 18 more people were arrested later from Keraniganj. CID chief Additional IGP Mohammad Ali Mia said, we have arrested two people, according to the information given by them, we have been able to arrest the entire gang who are involved in it.

It is truly incredible how a doctor who has passed MBBS was overwhelmed and seduced by the sweet talk and religious niceties of these fraudsters and willingly gave them a lot of money.

CID said, sometimes the gang used to mislead the targeted persons by calling them with family information through security guard, drivers and housekeepers.

Additional IGP said that 41, 47864 were found in the two bank accounts of the detained persons.
