Ishwardi Crematorium committee formed

In the general meeting of the Ishwardi Municipal Crematorium Management Committee, 51 members of the executive committee were elected for a three-year term. A general meeting of the crematorium management committee was held on the afternoon of February 9 in the crematorium temple premises.
Former committee president Uday Nath Lahiri presided. The meeting was moderated by Prabir Kumar Biswas. At the beginning the income and expenditure account of the previous year was presented and approved. Professor Swapan Kumar Kundu, former general secretary of the cremation management committee, Sunil Chakraborty, president of Ishwardi Upazila of Bangladesh Puja Celebration Parishad, Debdulal Roy and Rajesh Saraf, general secretary of Jatiya Hindu Mahajot, Ishwardi Upazila Committee spoke.
The meeting unanimously elected Professor Swapan Kumar Kundu as President and Praveer Kumar Biswas as General Secretary and Subas Chandra Pal as Treasurer and formed the Executive Committee for a period of three years.
