Mirza Abbas gets bail in 6 cases

A Dhaka court granted bail to BNP Standing Committee member Mirza Abbas in six separate cases on Monday.
Dhaka Additional Metropolitan Magistrate Md Sultan Sohag Uddin passed the order after hearing.
Counsel of Mirza Abbas Mohiuddin Chowdhury confirmed the matter to the media.
Earlier on Thursday, the BNP leader was shown arrested in nine separate cases filed with Ramna and Paltan Model Police Stations of the capital.
Metropolitan Magistrate Rajesh Chowdhury of Dhaka CMM Court and Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Sultan Sohag Uddin accepted separate pleas to show Mirza Abbas arrested in five cases with Paltan Model Police Station and four cases with Ramna Model Police Station, respectively.
On October 28, chaos broke out as BNP leaders and workers entered into a clash with police in the city’s Nayapaltan and its surrounding areas during BNP’s grand rally.
Amid the clash, BNP men allegedly attacked the residence of the Chief Justice and broke one of its gates and damaged its nameplate.
A total of 11 cases were filed against Mirza Abbas following the incidents.
The BNP Standing Committee member was arrested from city’s Shahidbagh area by police on October 31 and was placed on a five-day remand.
