Jamuna Oil 48th AGM held

The 48th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of Jamuna Oil Company Ltd was held on 27 January (Saturday) on virtual platform. The AGM was presided over by ABM Azad, Chairman (Secretary) of Bangladesh Petroleum Corporation and Chairman of the Board of Directors of JOCL, NDC.
Among others present in the meeting were, Board of Directors Director Shankar Prasad Dev (Independent Director) Ex-Additional Secretary, Md. Samsuddoha (Independent Director) Ex-Joint Secretary, Anupam Badua, Joint Secretary Director (Marketing), Bangladesh Petroleum Corporation, AKM Mizanur Rahman, Joint Secretary-Energy and Mineral Resources Division, Ministry of Electricity, Energy and Mineral Resources, Deepak Kumar Chakraborty, Deputy Secretary, Energy and Mineral Resources Division, Ministry of Power, Energy and Mineral Resources, Sheikh Mohammad Belayet Hossain, Deputy Secretary Energy and Mineral Resources Department Ministry of Power, Energy and Mineral Resources, Mohammad Hasanuzzaman Director, JOCL Board, Anika Chowdhury, Shareholder Director JOCL Board, Director and Managing Director Md Ghiyas Uddin Anchari and Company Secretary Md Masudul Islam.
The general shareholders expressed their opinion online on the company’s audited financial statements and board of directors’ report for the financial year ended 30 June 2023 and expressed their satisfaction with the overall performance of the company.
ABM Azad, Managing Director, NDC gave the welcome and closing speech on the company’s overall activities and future plans, and Md. Giyas Uddin Anchari, the Managing Director of the company, gave a speech on the company’s work plan and answered various questions from the shareholders. The meeting approved 130 percent cash dividend, audited financial statements and other agenda items for the financial year 2022-2023.
