HJKP demands decrease of Hajj expenses

In the general meeting of Hajj Jatri Kalyan Parishad (HJKP), the government was urged to decrease the Hajj expenses and requested the Prime Minister to intervene the matter. The general meeting of HJKP was held on Monday evening at Hotel Paramount International auditorium in the port city with its President Ahmadul Islam Chowdhury in the chair.
The meeting begins following the welcome address given by its Secretary general Principal Dr. Abdul Karim.
The discussants in the meeting being disappointed said the quota of pilgrims yet to fulfill 40 thousand despite the Hajj quota alloted for Bangladesh is 1,27,198 which is the first in the history of Bangladeshi pilgrims..
And the final registration of pilgrims will expire on January 18 next. In last year, Hajj quota could not he fulfilled despite extending the registration time again and again.
It is visible that despite willing to perform hajj by Bangladeshis but highest limitation of hajj expenses barring the hajj aspirants. Hajj expenses increased more than double of the previous years.
