Due to destructive cold wave in last few days in Adamdighi of Bogra, public suffering has been increasing. The sunlight hardly appears throughout the week. As the disease has increased in Adamdighi of West Bogra due to fog like drizzle, the fog has caused extensive damage to the fields and seedbeds.
The agriculture department believes that if the weather continues in this condition, the damage may increase. Due to the current cold weather, the farmers are worried about the seeds. According to the Upazila Agriculture Office sources, in the current season, 6 unions and 1 municipal council of Adamdighi Upazila are cultivating potatoes on 2,850 hectares of land and mustard cultivation on 5,300 hectares of land, wheat on 30 hectares of land, vegetables on 350 hectares of land. , onion on 50 hectares of land, garlic on 25 hectares of land, lentils on 27 hectares of land, rice on 5 hectares of land, green pepper cultivation on 35 thousand hectares of land and this year the target of Eri-Boro cultivation on 12 thousand 452 hectares of land has been set. After threshing the paddy, the farmers have prepared the Iri-Boro plantation extensively.
Eri-Boro seeds are sown in advance preparation. The farmers of the area are worried about the seeds due to the effect of heavy fog and severe winter in the last few days. In this way, if the thick fog and severe winter continue like drizzle, there is a possibility of blight in the potato field, winter vegetables will be damaged and the seed bed will be damaged. Due to heavy fog and winter, the newly planted seeds of the farmer are turning red. Zillur Rahman, farmer of Dalamba village of Sadar upazila, Hedayetul Islam, farmer of Kesharta village, Golam Rabbani, farmer of Nasharatpur union, Hasan Ali, farmer of Bariabarta village of Champapur union, said that their seed beds are turning red due to heavy fog.
