Morium Begum passes away

Morium Begum, wife of Late Sheikh Lutfar Rahman, a beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother and a pillar of strength in her family peacefully passed away on January 14, 2024, at the age of 81. Born in 1943 to Bodrun Nesa and Shekh Abdur Rouf, Morium led a life filled with love, family, and community service.
Her journey came to a peaceful end at Islami Bank Central Hospital in Kakrail, Dhaka, where she breathed her last at 5:15 pm. Her passing leaves a void in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing her. She is survived by her daughter, Dilruba Ali wife of Syed Tosharaf Ali, and son, Sk Humayun Kabir, who will carry forward the legacy of a woman known for her compassion and generosity.
Throughout her 81 years, Morium faced life’s challenges with resilience and grace. Unfortunately, in the later years, she battled cardiac complications.
Her Namaj-e-Janaza will be held at Afra, Bagerhat after Zohr prayers today.
