Minor girl died drowning in pond in Kalapara

A young girl named Hafsa Begum (18) died after drowned in the pond while performing ablution in the pond for Fajr prayers in Aramganj village of Mithaganj union under Kalapara upazila of Patuakhali district on Friday morning.
The deceased’s father Hafez Matubbar said that his daughter was suffering from epilepsy since childhood. At six o’clock in the morning on Friday, she fell into the water when she went to perform ablution in the pond in front of the residence.
After a while, her mother Minara Begum went to the pond to perform ablution and was shocked to see her half-submerged in water.
After that the locals came forward and recovered the dead body of the girl.
