12 accused held in Chandgaon election clash in port city

Twelve accused were arrested in connection with the explosion of cocktails, vandalism of vehicles and obstruction of the road by setting fire to tires on Sunday (January 7) on polling day in Chandgaon Moulvi Pukur Par area of the city. They are BNP and organizational leaders.A case has been filed against 45 people in Chandgaon police station. The case was filed under the Special Powers Act and the Explosives Act. Chandgaon police station OC Jahedul Kabir confirmed the matter to media on Monday (January 8).
