Dashing opener Tamim Iqbal got injury in his finger during his practice session at the Indoor in the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium (SBNCS), Mirpur on Tuesday.
Earlier, Tamim Iqbal took part in his practice session at the SBNCS on Monday.
Tamim has started his practice session marking the upcoming Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) Cricket, which will begin on January 19.
Tamim Iqbal will play for Fortune Barishal in BPL Cricket this year.
He will lead the Fortune Barishal in BPL Cricket 2024.
Tamim got a simple injury in his finger of his left hand from a delivery of right-arm pacer Taskin Ahmed while he did batting practice at the net in the Indoor of the SBNCS.
A BCB official told this Reporter over telephone on Tuesday, “Tamim’s injury is not so serious.”
After getting injury in his finger, Tamim stopped his batting practice.
After that the Physiotherapist of the BCB Bayjedul Islam inspected Tamim’s finger.
Then, Tamim’s finger was bandaged by the BCB Physiotherapist
Tamim Iqbal left the net and gave up his practice.
It seems that Tamim’s injury is not critical.
If everything goes well he will again join his practice soon.
Tamim Iqbal was out of the field as he has been suffering from hip pain for a long time.
He missed the ICC World Cup 2023, which was concluded in India recently.
He announced his retirement after playing the first ODI match against Afghanistan.
Tamim Iqbal is set to return in the field through the BPL Cricket.
Tamim Iqbal has begun his practice session to play in the upcoming BPL Cricket.
Though he is out of Bangladesh National Cricket team but he has been taking part in his practice session under the supervision of Coach Mizanur Rahman Babul.
He participated for a three-hour long practice session on Monday.
But he got injury again in his practice session yesterday.
