Ace all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan returned to practice at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium (SBNCS) in the capital’s Mirpur on Monday.
He took part in the practice sessions marking the upcoming Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) Cricket, the most prestigious domestic cricket tournament, which will start from Magura-1.
Shakib Al Hasan has been elected Parliament Member (MP) from the Magura-1 Constituency in the 12th Parliamentary Elections, which was held on Sunday last. After becoming the MP, Shakib did not make any delay to participate in the practice.
It may be mentioned that Shakib Al Hasan has been suffering from finger injury for at least six weeks and could not take part in the Bangladesh-New Zealand series, which was concluded recently.
The left-arm all-rounder was busy with his parliamentary campaign for a couple of weeks.
After the election, Shakib did not get any recess as the BPL Cricket is knocking at the door.
Shakib Al Hasan took part in his practice sessions at the Indoor of the SBNCS. Shikb’s Mentor Najmul Abedin Fahim was with him. Physiotherapist of the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) Bayjedul Islam was present at the time.
Shakib Al Hasan took part in the net for a long time. He was very attentive in his batting practice.
He did batting for a long time. After his injury in his finger, Shakib for the first time did batting practice.
It may be mentioned that Shakib Al Hasan took part in his fitness training when he was busy in his election campaign in Magura.
The groundsmen and the other employees of the BCB received Shakib Al Hasan with floral wreath when he went to the SBNCS yesterday.
