Bangladesh Cricket team returned home on Monday night after achieving a satisfactory performance in their New Zealand campaign, which concluded recently.

The Tigers lost to New Zealand by 2-1 in the ODI series.

Bangladesh posted a massive nine-wicket victory in the third ODI at Napier in New Zealand on December 23. The Tigers bundled out the Kiwis for a paltry 98.

It was Bangladesh’s first ODI victory in New Zealand soil after Bangladesh got the ODI status. Najmul Hossain Shanto led his team to earn the historic victory.

Bangladesh earned a 1-1 draw with New Zealand in the three-match T20I series. The Tigers registered a five-wicket defeat against New Zealand in the first T20I on December 27.

The second T20I between Bangladesh and New Zealand was washed out due to heavy rain on December 29.

The Tigers lost to the Kiwis by 17 runs, according to the Duckworth-Lewis-Stern Method in the third T20I in a rain interrupted match.

Thus, the T20I series ended in a 1-1 draw. Bangladesh for the first time drew a T20I series with the Black Caps in New Zealand. Thus, it was a historic result for Bangladesh.

After a dismal performance in the ICC World Cup 2023 in India, Bangladesh bounced back and registered wins in the white-ball matches against New Zealand just before the end of the year.
