New books distributed among students in various districts

New books have been distributed among the students in Rangpur, Sirajganj on the first day of the year. Students arrive at their respective schools to get new books from early morning with joy.

Rangpur correspondent adds, Divisional Commissioner of Rangpur Habibur Rahman inaugurated the book distribution ceremony by formally handing over textbooks to the students of the government girls’ high school on Monday (January 1).

On the other hand, District Commissioner Mohammad Mobashe hasar Hasan officially handed over the textbooks to the students in the district schools and distributed them. Rangpur Secondary and Higher Education Department Deputy Director Shafiqul Islam, Rangpur Regional Primary Education Department Deputy Director Mojahidul Islam and other officials were present.

Tarash (Sirajganj) correspondent adds, on the first day of the year in Tarash upazila, on Monday at 10 am, new books were handed over to the students of full and part-time madrasas, secondary schools and equivalent students in primary schools. On behalf of the upazila administration, the Higher Secondary and Primary Education Office organized the book distribution program at Tarash Islamia Pilot High School.

Under the chairmanship of Upazila Secondary Education Officer Abdus Chalam, the Chief Guest was Upazila Executive Officer Md. Mostafizur Rahmanand others were present.

Sylhet Bureau adds, students and teachers are celebrating this event of giving new books like a festival.

Sylhet City Corporation Mayor Anwaruzzaman Chowdhury inaugurated the festival on Monday (January 01) at Akhalia Biresh Chandra High School grounds with students, teachers, parents, public representatives by flying colorful balloons and doves as symbols of peace.

Noakhali Correspondent adds, Upazila Executive Officer Kaniz Fatima inaugurated the textbooks distribution ceremony by handing over the books to the students in Noakhali on Monday.

Bhangura(Pabna)Correspondent adds, Children spent the first day of 2024 happily in Bhangura Upazila of Pabna. The book festival was organized by the initiative of Bhangura Upazila Nirbahi Officer Md. Arafat Hossain.

Somewhere in the class room and somewhere in the school grounds, books can be distributed by pulling pandals. However, this time there was some lack of coordination of the officials concerned in the distribution of books.

No schedule of when the upazila nirbahi officer will go a school has been informed in advance to the head teachers.
